Emmerdale has revealed it will be stepping up the drama-filled storylines this summer.
Viewers are expected to see revenge, deception, secrets and betrayal set to dominate the soap, Manchester Evening News reports.
Emmerdale bosses have today revealed a series of storylines that will be at the forefront of the show in the month ahead – with four female characters to take centre stage.
What’s more, ITV has today announced a major change to how people can watch Emmerdale through June – due to schedule changes that will have to be made while the UEFA Euros football tournament takes place.
For the first time, both Emmerdale and Coronation Street will be available to “binge watch” weekly on the ITV Hub.
For four weeks during the tournament from Monday 14 June, the episodes airing will be available each Monday via the ITV Hub to enable viewers to have the choice of watching as a box set ahead of the ITV transmission.
Here’s what’s coming up on the soap.
Is Kim in danger?
Kim Tate (Claire King) is still the victim of mind games and as her paranoia continues she sets another trap for her nearest and dearest.
Kim feels utterly betrayed by recent events, but will her detective work pay off and will she catch her culprit.
Or is Kim herself in mortal danger?
Meena’s mind games
Manipulative Meena, played by Paige Sandhu, continues to meddle in Jacob and David’s lives.
When Jacob, played by Joe Warren Plant, scuppers her plans to move in with David (Matthew Wolfenden), how far will she go to get what she wants?
Faith’s secret health woes
One of life’s true survivors, Faith, played by Sally Dexter, fears her cancer may have returned.
We see her try to bury these concerns rather than face them head on.
But when a situation is misconstrued, how far will she go to keep this secret from her family?
Tracy’s baby concerns
Besotted with her first chid, Tracy, played by Amy Walsh, takes her concerns for little Frankie’s safety too far.
Those feelings are taking control of her and she risks alienating those closest to her.
Will she seek the help she so desperately needs before things get any worse?
Wedding day drama
The course of true love never did run smooth in soapland and we can expect major wedding day confusion when Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) is preparing to tie the know with Liam (Johnny McPhearson).
For Roxy will spot Liam’s former fiance Bernice, played by Samantha Giles, dressed in her old wedding dress on her actual wedding day.
What is Bernice thinking? Surely Liam’s not going to have a change of heart at the last minute?
And in some joyful news, Emmerdale will also celebrate its first ever Pride event this summer.
Fans of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK will be delighted to see a fabulous guest appearance from the season 1 winner, The Vivienne, in upcoming scenes.
