East Yorkshire pub hiring a giant outdoor screen for the Euros

An East Yorkshire pub is getting in the mood to celebrate the Euros with the hiring of a giant five-metre outdoor screen for football fans.

The Triton Inn, in Brantingham, is selling tables for £30 for fans to enjoy the games in comfort and without having their view obscured.

The enormous five-metre by three-metre screen has anti-glare technology so people can be assured of a great view, while being seated socially-distanced.

They are also bringing in street food vendors, Pompiere Pizza Company and Hearth – who specialise in meats and sweet treats.

In announcing the news on their Facebook page, the pub said: “Want to enjoy the Euros in style, look no further than The Triton Inn, Brantingham.

“We have a 5m x 3m Anti glare LED Screen for our field, with socially distanced tables.”

There will also be a DJ and live music throughout the events, from local bands The Shine, The Laggy Band, and singer Matty Whitaker.

The Triton’s owners said the event is open to over-18s only, and only tables of six will be able to book.

They will open two hours before each game – the first one takes place on Sunday June 13, when England take on Croatia at 2pm.

The pub’s tables are limited so fans are advised to book quickly to secure their spot.
