Pringles brings back two popular flavours

To celebrate a summer of sport, Pringles is bringing back popular flavours and teaming up with football freestyler Lia Lewis

Due to land in shops this month, the two limited edition flavours are making a comeback to celebrate the brand’s football campaign, which aims to put the playful back in football after last season’s setbacks. The brand chose flavours that were favourites for football fans and brought them to life in the iconic can.

To celebrate a summer of sport and to keep the fun in football, Pringles is also teaming up with football freestyler Lia Lewis to invent a new signature trick. Lia will be showing off her skills with an empty Pringles can and encouraging everyone from football fanatics to the part-time fans to put their best foot forward.

Lia will also be inspiring Pringles lovers to attempt her new trick and show how fun football can be for everyone.

Football freestyling has now become a sport of its own, with football freestylers, including Lia, breaking national records. Unsurprisingly, the love for football freestyling has been on the rise over the last year, a third of people (32 per cent) revealed their main reason for doing them is simply for fun. Other motives included to get better at football (26 per cent), out of boredom (18 per cent) and even to impress a romantic interest.

Aiming to perfect their tricks, more than a tenth (13 per cent) of football lovers admitted they would spend more than the average day of work (nine hours) trying to accomplish a football trick, whilst 5 per cent admitted they would spend the equivalent of 33 football matches, or a staggering 50 hours getting it right.

Football freestyler Lia Lewis said, “I’ve had a great time creating this trick with Pringles and can’t wait to see people having a go at it. Freestyle football is so much fun and everyone can get involved, all you need is a pair of boots and a ball, or in this case, the iconic Pringles can.”

Florence Kayll, UK activation brand manager at Pringles, said “We’re really excited for the summer of football and can’t wait to see all of our Pringles’ fans having a go at Lia’s trick. Pringles’ aim is to put the fun in football and we hope everyone gets involved and enjoys the summer season.”
