Whites Restaurant in Beverley, has completed its lockdown refurbishment in time to welcome customers back for summer dining.
Unlike the rest of the hospitality industry which saw inside dining and drinking reopened to the public on May 17, Whites wanted to make sure their spot was “perfect” before welcoming customers back.
After opening in 2008, the establishment has been well-renowned for its A La Carte dining.
And so after a solid 13 years in business, owner and Chef Patron John Robinson decided to give the place a revamp whilst closed throughout 2020 and some of this year.

The restaurant is ready to welcome customers back from Thursday June 9.
A number of new changes have been implemented including a complete brand new kitchen.
What’s more, a new dining room, and toilet facilities have been fitted.
In the dining area, Mr Robinson opted for a stylish look whilst enabling social distancing measures.
The owner and chef said: “We thought long and hard about how we can implement social distancing measures but in a stylish way.
He added: “Each table has a side table to make it easy for customers to lift their items so we don’t touch it.
“How it works is it goes on the tray and the waiter/waitress only holds the tray and doesn’t touch the serving dishes or glasses.
“It’s super easy and we love the way they look too.”
The exterior of the building has been repainted to give it a fresh look.
New windows have been installed, a new door, hanging baskets, and a brand new garden.
The garden is filled with fruit, vegetables, and herbs grown for cooking.
Mr Robinson added: “It has been a long wait for us, we have waited for seven months.
“We are so excited to welcome people back.”
Whites is best known for its taster menu where customers are treated to a surprise array of dishes, and there are some “special surprises” in store upon the reopening.
There are two different taster menus on offer – a four course taster menu for £35, or a nine course taster menu for £65.
It gives you a tour of what the kitchen can produce using some of the finest local produce and seasonal ingredients.
Customers wanting to dine must make a booking; walk-ins are not permitted.
All diners must follow the social distancing rules in place and hand sanitising stations are available to use around the restaurant.
