Kerry Katona threatened on film by ghost at I’m A Celeb’s Gwyrch Castle

Paranormal investigators have revealed footage showing the eerie moment a ghost at I’m A Celebrity’s Gwrych Castle shouted at Kerry Katona to ‘leave now’ – before she fled in fear.

Married couple Linzi and Lee Steer captured the creepy footage on Wednesday night at the Welsh castle, after inviting Kerry and her 18-year-old daughter Lilly-Sue McFadden along for the night.

But the former Atomic Kitten star, who won I’m a Celebrity 17 years ago, was so terrified she ‘clung’ to Linzi, 52, as she and Lee, who run Project Reveal – Ghosts of Britain, conducted the investigation.

In the clip, Linzi, 52, plays an electronic voice phenomenon (EVP) to Kerry, before the voice of a male tells her to ‘go away’ – prompting the 40-year-old celeb to respond ‘I really want to go now’.

Moments after visibly shaken Kerry begins pleading to be ‘let out’, the voice booms ‘leave now’.

Linzi claims that moments after they stopped filming the creepy scene, Kerry fled in terror as she was ‘genuinely scared’ and left Lilly-Sue to continue with the ghost hunters.

Linzi, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, said: “This was one of the darkest energies we’ve ever encountered. It was absolutely fantastic.

“As it was going darker, I must admit, Kerry was getting a bit scared. She was genuinely scared.

“We got a spirit box, which it is believed spirits can talk and communicate through. We put it on and the first words that came through were ‘leave now’.

“Kerry just said ‘right, I’m going’. She ran straight to the car and locked herself in the car.

“She was scared. She kept holding me and you can feel her holding on to me. She linked my arm and she was clinging to me. I felt sorry for her.

“We were the first people ever to go there to investigate it live.

“There’s more to offer from that place. Cockroaches are the least of the celebrity’s worries if they’re staying there.”

The married couple, who have been ghost hunting together for more than five years, now have more than 1.8million followers on their Facebook page – where they conduct paranormal investigations all over the world.

On Wednesday, after invited Kerry Katona and psychic medium James Higgins, they descended on Gwrych Castle to conduct their investigation.

Linzi said: “It started off by the owner of the castle, Mark, basically taking us on a little tour, showing us where stuff was.

“All the I’m a Celebrity stuff was still there – the dunny, the shower, where they slept in the bedrooms.

“They still have all the set laid out. The thrones are there, the dunny, Kiosk Keith’s shop, where Ant and Dec stood and watched out. It’s all still there.

“He told us about his experiences and how he saw a ball of light on the marble staircase.

“We had James Higgins with us as well. His mum is Deborah Davies on Real Housewives of Cheshire. He’s a psychic medium. “He looked very worried. I said ‘you alright James?’ He said ‘I’m picked up that someone fell down these stairs and died there’. Then Mark the owner confirmed it.

“Somebody had been pushed down there too. It’s crazy.

“We decided to put some equipment out. It was pretty quiet and that’s how real investigations go.

“We went into what was the dining room when the castle was lived in by Winifred, Countess of Dundonald.

“We went in there and there was a little bit of activity in there. The trigger objects were going off.

“We got access into the crypts where more interesting stuff happened in the night.”

Down in the crypts, Linzi and Simon Slicher, from Urban Asylum, set out an EVP after discovering what Linzi claims were signs of devil worship.

But shortly after, another voice came through, shouting ‘get back to the house’ – leaving Kerry Katona refusing to go down.

Linzi said: “We went into some of the rooms that most people don’t get to see. Me and Simon, from Urban Asylum, went down into a secret crypt and in there, there’s pentagrams drawn on the floor and some upside-down crosses. A sign of devil worship.

“We did an EVP and I said ‘who’s here’. I said ‘what sort of rituals happened here’ and as clear as anything, a man’s voice said to me, ‘get back to the house’.

“I went ‘oh my god’. That was one of the clearest EVPs we’ve ever got.

“We played it to Kerry and she proper freaked out. She had to leave. She left early because she got scared.

“We managed to persuade her to come down. She really didn’t want to come down.

“It was very dark. Kerry sat on the throne and said ‘it feels strange to kind of be back’.

“Everyone was enthusiastic about trying to find evidence. Everyone was focused.
