Budget airline Wizz Air has introduced flights between UK airports and Jersey – with fares beginning at just £17.99 each way.

The low-cost carrier will fly between Doncaster Sheffield and Cardiff and the biggest of the Channel Islands with services operating each Monday and Friday from July 9.

Fares only include one carry-on bag that must not be bigger than 40x30x20cm. There are extra charges for more items of luggage., which can be booked when reserving a seat on the aircraft.

Wizz Air’s FLEX policy allows passengers to cancel flights up to three hours before departure, free of charge, with 100 per cent airline credit.

Jersey, which falls within the UK’s Common Travel Area, is the perfect summer holiday destination with minimal entry restrictions for visitors from the UK mainland.

However, visitors will need a negative PCR test result before arrival and follow Jersey’s Safer Travel Guidance, adhering to testing and isolation requirements.

Anyone without necessary proof of testing will also be checked on arrival, and self-isolate until a negative result is confirmed. The island has introduced a fast track border testing system.
