Tribfest Festival updates ticket holders after lockdown announcement

It is good news for those hoping to head to the popular Tribfest Music Festival this year as the event has confirmed that “Tribfest 21” is still on “as it stands”.

An email addressed to “Tribfesters” and sent by festival director Ed Faulkner said it is “still moving on with planning and staying positive”.

It comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed the final relaxation of coronavirus lockdown restrictions has been delayed until next month.

It means that step four of the Government’s roadmap towards easing the rules will not go ahead next Monday, June 21, amid concern around the Delta variant of Covid-19.

“Sorry we have been a bit quiet recently on the Covid-19 front but to be fair we haven’t had much information to share with you,” Ed Faulkner said in an email to festival-goers.

“As it’s now confirmed that we will be staying in the current lockdown situation for the next four weeks, we are still moving on with planning and staying positive….as it stands TRIBFEST 21 IS STILL ON!

“We have been in contact with a couple of companies who can give us pre-event testing and there are various other systems which we can put in place to keep you all safe if the need arises. All of that is in place if we need it.”

The email continued: “You are showing us massive support as our ticket sales are now at record levels and selling faster each day! So, if you want to be at Tribfest 2021 don’t delay and get yours now as it looks like we may SELL OUT!

“On a more cautious note; if we are unable to go ahead with the festival due to Covid-19 restrictions then you will once again be able to choose a rollover to the next festival or a full refund. So please be safe in the knowledge that your tickets/money are safe.”

The email added: “On a personal level, I would like to thank everyone for their patience. I would also like to thank those who have bought a ticket and especially those who rolled their tickets over from 2020. You’ve helped keep the festival alive!

“We love what we do and all the staff at Tribfest are staying focused and working really hard to give you the best weekend of the year, which we all deserve now more than ever!!!”

The email also assured “Tribfesters” they they would be the “first to know” of any updates.

The popular Driffield event was sadly cancelled last year due to the ongoing lockdowns and coronavirus restrictions.
