Piers Morgan took another swipe at Meghan Markle as he insisted ITV didn’t get rid of him ahead of her latest interview.
In a fresh Twitter attack, the outspoken TV personality launched a tirade against the Duchess of Sussex over the weekend on Saturday following his pre-father’s day dinner with his son Spencer.
Ahead of Meghan’s interview about her children’s book and New York Times bestseller The Bench, the former Good Morning Britain presenter took the opportunity to make another dig at the actress, reports the Mirror.
Insistent Piers claimed ITV didn’t get rid of him; instead, he said he left because he refused to apologise for not believing the Suits star about her mental health battle which she spoke about at length in her Oprah chat.
He wrote: “ITV didn’t get rid of me. I left GMB because I declined to apologise for disbelieving Princess Pinocchio.

“But I still work for ITV, as you’ll see tomorrow when my Life Stories show with @Joancollinsdbe airs at 9pm.”
His blunt words were a response to a trolling comment which read: “But you’re not being urged to ‘be gotten rid of’ the guy was referencing when ITV got rid of you…which they did! And you go on about virtue signalling!! Give me strength.”
Initially, Piers had tweeted an extract where a royal staffer claimed “Meghan had portrayed herself as a victim” from book Battle of Brothers which is being serialised by The Times.
Alongside the quote, he wrote: “Wow, I’m shocked. I thought Ms Markle was the Queen of Empathy, Kindness & Compassion?”
Some people were quick to question Piers’ harsh criticism and sarcasm on social media. One wrote: “Sarcasm like this belittles genuine mental health issues … Not a good look.”
To which, Piers responded: “Ah, so when a mental health campaigner urges me to be ‘gotten rid of’, that’s fine. But if I respond with sarcasm, it’s ‘not a good look’. Do you teach this woke bull**** in your classes?”
Sensationally the presenter quit Good Morning Britain just hours after storming out on a debate about the Duchess of Sussex following her bombshell interview with Oprah.

Having refused to apologise to the actress, Piers chose to leave with immediate effect and still remains on the hunt for his next job opportunity.
Piers reignited his feud with Meghan ahead of her latest interview with the NPR Weekend Show on Sunday.
Omid Scobie confirmed the Duchess of Sussex would be speaking after her book made the New York Times bestseller list.
He wrote on Twitter: “Fresh off the heels of her first children’s book becoming a certified #1 New York Times bestseller, Duchess Meghan will be giving her only interview about #TheBench to @samanthabalaban at the renowned @NPRWeekend show, this Sunday between 8am-10am Eastern.”
