This summer saw unprecedented demand for seaside chalets in the East Yorkshire resort of Bridlington.
By May, families unable to plan escapes abroad had already fully booked up all 142 of the available beach chalets for the whole of the school summer holidays, and newly replaced chalets on Bridlington’s south side, at Belvedere, piqued the interest of visitors like never before.
Now, the coastal services team at East Riding Council has announced that its winter let chalets are about to go on sale, for people who like to enjoy the east coast seascapes in snow as much as they do in the sunshine.

With the winter season fast approaching, the winter chalet programme will be launched from the team’s office in Bridlington this Saturday at 9.30am.
Chalets will only be available to reserve in-store at the Coastal Services Office, Princess Mary Promenade, Bridlington. Customers are asked not to ring or email as the team will be unable to make the reservation from these methods of contact. Payment in full will be required at the time of booking.
Coastal services manager Kirsty Salisbury said: “By booking in-store, you will be able to choose the individual chalet you would like to book (subject to availability).
“Please do think about which number you would like in advance but do consider others in case your preference has already been taken.”
Kirsty said: “Due to unprecedented demand last year, we anticipate the chalets will sell out very quickly. If you do secure a chalet, please ensure you have your card ready to pay at the time of booking.
“Bookings will only be available for winter lets at this time. We will announce as soon as possible the time and date when the 2022 chalets will be released.”
