Morrisons is recalling its own brand of chocolate-covered ice cream sticks over fears they may contain pieces of plastic.
The Food Standards Agency has issued a recall warning for Amour Classic Vanilla Ice Cream, which is sold in boxes of three.
It said: “This product may contain small pieces of plastic which makes the product unsafe to eat.”
A product recall notice from the supermarket states: “Morrisons is recalling this product because there is a risk that some packs may contain pieces of plastic.
“No other products or best before dates are affected.”
The best before date affected is February 2023.
Customers are being advised not to eat the ice creams in the affected batch, and to return the 360g packs for a full refund.
Morrisons added: “No other products are affected by this issue.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
