The ANEW Revival Serum lipstick, that one sellsevery 30 seconds, with shades Reviving Nude and Blossoming Pink taking the top spot as the most popular.
The serum lipstick is a cutting edge innovation developed by a team of dedicated Avon scientists over the last 8 years.
What’s great about the new serum formula is that it claims to transform your lips in 7 days.
There are 15 pigment packed shades in total, and myself and my colleague Gemma got to try the lot- here’s our findings.
I’ve never been one to wear a lot of makeup.
In my teen years it was a flick of the liquid eyeliner and off we go.
Bright colours were a no go for fear of standing out, I was terrified to be different, to be seen.
My pale, freckled skin just didn’t seem to fit in with the trend of having a tan.
But trends changed, I changed.
All of a sudden I wanted to be seen. I didn’t want to be terrified.
Colour came back into my life along with experiments of bold eyeshadows, bright pink blusher (probably too bright) and a thirst for glitter.
It was at this point I discovered my passion for lipstick.
Lipstick is our “go-to” makeup item when we want to quickly pull our look together.
For me, the attraction is the minimal effort and the way it can transform your look and mood within seconds.
Another plus is when it looks after your skin at the same time – there’s nothing worse than flaky, dry, cracked lips.
With this in mind, I’ve been trying out the Anew Revival Serum Lipstick by Avon.
Avon told me it’s their first lipstick formula proven to not only treat the symptoms of dry lips, but also target the cause – helping to improve your lip’s skin barrier over time.
I wore the Reviving Mauve on my venture out to a gorgeous a al fresco meal.
Not once did I have to reapply and my lips felt smooth and hydrated throughout.
I’ve tried out most of the shades now but my favourite has to be the Awakening Coral – it’s a bright, beautiful summer colour.
I’m looking forward to getting my pink on too with the Perky Peony.
P.S These lipsticks are definitely worth a test as they appear darker than they actually are so do try first!
I am quite a risk taker where make up is concerned.
Not only do I like to try different colours and trends- but I mix between glosses, mattes, balms depending on my outfit/ mood.
Even just from my first trial of using the ANEW Revival Serum Lipstick, I love more than anything the feel of the serum on my lips, you get a progressive tingling feeling which is very subtly just like a face serum would.
My problem is, I do get quite cracked lips so to test the Rejuvenating Nude shade I prepped my lips with a lip scrub and buttermask.
Here is how the nude looks…
Secondly, going with a bit of a darker colour to see the pigment a little clearer and wow… this is such a beautiful colour.
Essential Mocha is my perfect everyday wear and it is definitely buildable. As Gemma pointed out, it’s the minimal effort of a quick lipstick look update and it can make you feel a million dollars. More often than not, I prefer a matte lip but the serum is certainly one I would like to wear everyday to see how I get on. After four days of wearing various colours, Revitalising Rouge is my favourite.
This pigment is insane- and considering it is like skincare in lip form, I’m a huge fan. My lips are 100% feeling more plump and less wrinkled AND the colours are long wearing.
You can pick up the serum lipsticks here – and trust me, believe the hype surrounding this product!
