Christmas spectacular planned for East Yorkshire adventure park

Families can embark on a magical Christmas outing this year thanks to a festive initiative that has been months in the planning by a local adventure park.

Let Loose has “decided to throw everything” at its Magical Christmas Adventure, with an array of glistening illuminations, a forest of lights, a Christmas train ride and a chance to meet Santa himself.

Visitors can cosy up in the Christmas themed café and enjoy a hot chocolate, a glass of mulled wine and some seasonal snacks, while penning a note to Father Christmas and popping it in the special postbox, ahead of the big day.

The Magical Christmas Adventure runs from Wednesday, December 1 right up until Christmas Eve, and the discounted early bird tickets launched a week ago are already “flying out the door”, according to a Let Loose spokesperson.

She said: “We have literally tons of fairy lights and we will have a forest of fir trees, Santa in his grotto and a beautiful nativity scene, it is going to be magical.

“Visitors will start off in the car park where they will get on the Christmas train that will take them round the trees decked in fairylights before they come inside the park.

“They will be able to see a full-size sleigh with reindeer that are lifting off the ground – but Santa won’t be in it and they have got to go and find him.

“When the children meet him, they will all get a quality present to the value of £8.”

Let Loose, at Woodmansey, near Beverley, had to close last year because of the pandemic but has been “very busy” this year since being able to safely reopen.

The spokesperson said: “We are keeping everything crossed that we have overcome the last difficult 18 months and have decided to throw everything at our Magical Christmas Adventure.

“It’s a first for us and we really felt we wanted to create some magic for the local community. The children especially have missed out so much and we want to give them something very special to look forward to and to experience when they come.”

The Let Loose team have been planning the Christmas spectacular, which includes a carousel ride finale, since June as something the whole family can enjoy.

“We always follow all the Covid regulations,” the spokesperson said.

Pushchairs and wheelchairs will be able to go on the Christmas Train and the rest of the Christmas Adventure is accessible for both wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Discounted early bird tickets, with prices starting from £5, will be available for the next two weeks.
