East Yorkshire’s only Michelin-starred pub the Pipe and Glass has created a luxurious hamper of goodies to start people’s Christmas Day celebrations off in style this year.
The Pipe and Glass Luxury Christmas Breakfast Hamper contains ingredients chosen by chef James Mackenzie to give breakfast a starring role in the festivities, rather than the focus being all on Christmas dinner.
The hamper is stuffed with enough items to create a “delicious breakfast for two” and, with the added option of Champagne in the mix, will set you back £60.

The Pipe and Glass, at South Dalton, tweeted: “Have you ordered yours yet? The perfect start to Christmas Day, our luxury hamper is filled with James’ specially selected ingredients to create a delicious breakfast for two at home.”
The hamper includes sliced Staal smoked salmon, from Long Riston, a loaf of spelt bread and Pipe and Glass honey, as well as coconut and cranberry granola, six Cacklebean eggs and Netherend Farm butter.
You can wash it all down with the Café du Monde continental blend coffee and Yorkshire tea provided and enjoy a festive tipple on the side with a choice of either Pipe and Glass vine tomato and garden lovage gin red snapper, at a total cost of £55, or with a half bottle of Gardet Brut Tradition Champagne, at a total of £60.
The Pipe and Glass said is taking orders now for the hampers, by calling 01430 810246 between 9am and 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
“Our breakfast hampers are available for collection only from the Pipe and Glass on 23rd or 24th December,” it said. “Payment is required at the time of ordering. Hampers are sold as detailed and we are unable to make adjustments.”
