It’s the quaint backstreet boozer where Hollywood’s biggest stars gather for a drink and movie deals are made.
The Imperial Pub, is just a stone’s throw away from London’s Leicester Square and is the perfect place to spot a star. It is famed for its cosy booths with comfortable leather banquettes round the walls for movie moguls to enjoy a discreet drink to discuss the next Hollywood film.
There’s likely to be a stellar cast of customers this evening (November 18) ahead of the star-studded premiere of The Lost Daughter. Directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, the stars involved include Olivia Colman, Dakota Johnson, Peter Sarsgaard and Jessie Buckley. Plus, there could be a guest list of A listers and celebrities who’ll be looking for somewhere for a quiet drink.
The Imperial pub’s history dates back more than 150 years, so there’s no surprise it’s had a plethora of celebrity guests walking through its doors.
The Greene King pub has played host to many A-listers over the years. Hollywood actor, Leonardo Dicaprio, has been known to sip his favourite vodka sodas in the pub, as well as celebrities Elija Wood and Kate Moss being spotted in one of the booths.
It is one of the best venues to catch a glimpse – or even share a table – with a celebrity and its cosy bar offers front-row views of glittering movie premiere bashes.
Mark Murphy, general manager at The Imperial, said: “I wouldn’t want to name drop about the number of stars that we’ve served at our pub, but we’re regularly filled with celebrities who enjoy our totally relaxed atmosphere and high-quality food and drink.
“One of the UK’s most famous supermodels even drops in from time-to-time and our team is always happy to serve up one of her favourite cocktails which isn’t on our menu.”
