Inside the brand new colourful German restaurant opening in Hull city centre

A brand new colourful restaurant has opened in Hull’s city centre this week.

Mr Hugo’s opened its doors to the public on Wednesday evening, introducing customers to German-style cuisine, the finest beers, and signature cocktails.

Inside the eatery in Paragon Street, it offers a modern feel and is certainly eye-catching with its colourful interior.

Not only are the surroundings of the restaurant and bar bound to put you in a good mood, but the staff also wear bright colours too.

The menu offers something a little different to other food and drink stops in and around Hull.

There are German kebaps on the menu including lean veal, turkey doner, or vegan doner, combined with pine bread, mozzarella, a mixture of spices, and any choice of 12 toppings.

You can also get Hugo Boxes, and a variety of delicious Smash Burgers too. The restaurant staff say there are over 250,000 combinations to try – so customers are certainly spoilt for choice.

What’s more you can pop in for a colourful cocktail or try the range of German beers on offer.

There is a huge sign on the wall which reads ‘Wurstparty’ – meaning sausage party in German.

Co-owner Lucas Billingham said: “We have arrived in Hull city centre in Paragon Street. We are a German street food restaurant and we have great German beers. And as you can see – welcome.”
