Formed by Felicity and Krystle in 2012, the business has steadily grown over the years, with Juniper Cakery now being counted amongst the city’s best.
A home-based business, Juniper Cakery will supply both to Hull and the rest of Yorkshire, as well as further afield in the UK, dependant on the scale of the order.
Speaking to Hull Live, co-owners Felicty and Krystle said: “We create everything from macarons, cupcakes, chocolates and party cakes to show stopping wedding cakes.
“We cater for all events, big and small. Due to our large Instagram following and online popularity lots of people don’t realise we’re actually a small home based business with a staff of just two.
“Everything we create is bespoke and made to order for every customer. As we’re such a small team all of our customers can expect attention to detail and dedication to ensure that everything is perfect.”
Talking about their most popular creations, they said: “Macarons! They’re always popular and they’re one of our favourites too.
“Cupcakes, chocolates and cake popsicles are also very popular.
“They’re all so customisable, so we can be making gold painted versions with sugar flowers for weddings one day and sweet pastel treats with cute faces for a first birthday the next.”
With Christmas fast approaching, Juniper Cakery have got plenty of plans for the festive season.
“We always launch a Christmas collection at the back end of November and those treats are available up until December 21, when we’ll close for Christmas.
“Last year we launched an e-shop on our website where some of our festive treats were available UK wide and it was a huge success. We plan to do the same this year too.
“Alongside postal items we always have a collection available for our local customers including hampers, treat boxes, cakes, cupcakes and more!”
Felicity and Krystle had plans to open a shop locally, but the pandemic forced them to reconsider.
Speaking about this decision, they said: “We’d still love to do that in the future but at the moment our focus is on growing our e-shop which has been a blessing!
“All of the seasonal collections for Mother’s Day, Easter, Halloween and Christmas have been so popular so we’ll be looking into adding more permanent products for celebrations in 2022.
“We have a very busy wedding season to look forward to next year, with a few other projects in mind alongside that so there’s lots for us to be excited about.”
